I liked Clark Kent's character, but some things were way too over done, like the fight at the end (how many buildings did they destroy?? completely over the top).

Then, the thing that pissed me off the most was that he didn't want to kill someone, and in the process probably ended up killing TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE when he could have just twisted that guy's neck in the beginning and spared us all the pain.

The beginning was the most interesting part to me. I wish they'd explored that more.

To be fair, this is a glaring issue with pretty much all superheroes. Things would be a lot easier for Superman if he offed Lex Luthor, Batman could save Gotham City a fuckton of grief if he just fucking killed the Joker, Spiderman should have done away with Norman from the get-go and etc. In superhero comics (well, some of them), killing someone is generally considered the very last resort and it's a pretty big deal when it happens. I guess thousands of dead people did the trick

Of course when a superhero flies around snapping necks on people he says are guilty, then they are pretty much a supervillain with good publicity.

Yup, this. They aren't judge/juries/executioners - that would make them the scary ass bad guy who does bad things "for the Greater Good" (gag)

It should take widespread destruction before someone raised as well as Clark was to resort to killing.

Plus it wasn't like General Zod - bred as he was for war - was gonna let Clark close enough to snap his neck.

Didn't that happen with Wonder Woman...? I never read the comics with that, but a friend of mine did and she told me that Diana did what both Batman and Superman wouldn't do and that was snap this dude's neck...cause it NEEDED to happen. But they berated her for it.

Or am I wrong? O_o

If I'm right, how was she treated in universe? Was she treated badly? shunned? Or congratulated? ??
