2. I guess it depends upon what sorta fandom you're into. And what you do in said fandom. It's not something I'd ever contemplated before, even though there's a pretty good chance I'll be a teacher someday...wonder if you can get fired if the school board finds out you write gay porn of cartoon characters?

14. That's so awesome. I wish I could send you a hug through the internets.

It really does depend on what you do in fandom. Writing just slash probably wouldn't do it, but if you are getting into kinks (particularly if they involved underage characters) that won't look too good at all.

It is is just one of those things where you use discretion, as someone who is about to begin life as a teacher, it is something you have to think about. I think a person should be discrete, and really sort of think about how they participate in fandom. I mean I think you can do it, but you might not be as free to do the more outrageous kink stuff in full view or as openly as some other people do (yes it sucks, but teachers are held to a certain standard that is different from others)

Also there is just that concern generally with teacher's online presence and just being professional and smart about how you hold yourself in public. (And yes the internet is in a lot of ways is public.

2. i don't know. That's what I'm afraid of. Or, everyone finding out and then assuming you're a pervert...
