I think you can call internet popularity real to some extent; there are people behind the screens watching what you're up to after all. I could get cynical about how 'real' popularity could be considered pretty shallow in itself but... meh, another ramble for another time.

Self-esteem is a pretty important thing and a good boast of ego and confidence is never a bad thing. I'm pretty sure the effort you put in has not and will not be forgotten, especially if you're still around and doing what you can whenever possible.

It's not vain or selfish I don't think, it's normal to like attention after all, and if it's good attention why feel bad for enjoying it and equally why feel bad for being scared of losing something if it makes you feel good?

I think if you're popular online it's for a reason, it's a hard thing to do and I don't think I'd ever be able to really do it, so I doubt you'll be forgotten and lose it completely. Have faith in the people who brought your self-esteem up and when you're health improves if you still want the attention and fandom then hop right back in there. I bet they'll welcome you back an you can only move up from there.

Really, health issues suck ass so I hope things improve for you soon.

Wow, what you've said actually helps a lot more than a lot of the pep talks I've gotten so far! xD ♥ I'll definitely have to keep that in mind while I'm going through this rough patch.

And for you, I really hope that fandom has everything in it that'll keep you boistered up as you're struggling with health stuff too. Here's to improvement? :)

Here's to improvment indeed, hun! We'll kick it good sometime soon for sure. Keep me posted, somehow, on how your progressing? Another secret sometime maybe? Who knows X3 ♥
