What blood type you have determines what superpower you get or something. (Also being negative or positive for RH either reverses the power or something. O negatives, you have some sort of rare power. Go you guys.)

You get a rare superpower too? Cool! I'm trying to figure out how that would work for you. Like how it would affect your base power.
EDIT: OH MY GOSH THE MORE I LOOK INTO IT THE MORE COMPLICATED IT GETS. THERE ARE TWO A GROUPS. THIS IS GETTING COOLER BY THE MINUTE.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-07 12:40 am (UTC)(link)Well, I was born with HDN (mother was Rh-- and miscarried every other child I dunno if you have reached that part of the Wiki yet), at a time when survivability for same was pretty much in the toilet, so I would say my superpower will be surviving the apocalypse with the glow-in-the-dark cockroaches? IDK man, when you find my superpower, you let me know eh???

I feel like, for blood there are four main groups, A, B, AB, and O. So there are four base powers. Then any variation on that alters the base power somehow. So, for example, say you're A and A power is shape-changing. If you're Rh positive you can change into organic things but if you're negative you change into inorganic things. And then all of the other stuff alters that further. So you were one thing but your power would have been messed with in the womb because of your mother's body rejecting it. So it would probably be expressed as something that revolves around the idea of resistance or survival. So if you were A, for example, maybe you can turn into organic things that technically wouldn't be able to exist for long period of time in your current environment. Where others would start dying if they, say, turned into a fish on land, you would have a longer survival rate. Also, maybe since there are two A groups, as I said before, the main one, which covers 80%, means you can change yourself but if you're part of the 10% group you can change other people. And looking at the blood variances on this page I see there are a lot. So each group would have to have a strong base with a lot of variances possible for all the little differences.
...So that is an example of my idea on the power based blood type thing. Does it make sense?

(Anonymous) 2013-07-07 01:57 am (UTC)(link)That totally makes sense, and you need to link me in GC when you write it, forgottenjester. :-)

I've heard of those rarer types but when I tried looking them up on Wikipedia it didn't list them. It only listed rare variations of A/B/O types.

O is the most common, then A, then B, then AB. Technically O is the absence of the A or B factors.

Thanks! I guess I only need to figure out what O and B are. I feel like since O is absence maybe their power should have to do with the concept of nothing.
