I'm pretty sure the appeal of ABO fic is closely tied to the old No Responsibility thing a la rape fantasy. Basically, people (women especially) find their own sexual desires shameful due to societal pressures and they use rape fantasy (or ABO fantasy, in this case) to explore their sexual response guiltlessly.

IE: "It's not MY fault I want sex! It's my ingrained biological drive!"

Or something like that. Maybe. I dunno. Sexual fantasies and their underlying causes are complicated.

Or I just really like to read about one guy being raped by another and being assumed to enjoy it.

I don't care if the catcher is feminised or not, the point is he's still male and not female with all the female history that happens. The fact a pairing may or may not be doing outdated stereotype roles doesn't matter. It's m/m
