I would third volunteering. Search for volunteering opportunities in your area with the internet and/or ask around places in your area whether they want anyone to volunteer for them. Then pick the place that looks the least boring and get someone to force you to go for it if you can't force yourself. You never know, if you work as a volunteer long enough, you may be taken on as paid staff there. At the very least, you'll have some experience; you may even learn something about a direction you want your life to go in. :)
