Who the fuck cares how much someone likes something - what exactly *is* the minimum amount of care necessary to avoid your judgement?

And who the fuck cares if they drop a fandom and forget about it? Is there some rules that you must be chained to all your previous fandoms?

(Seriously, I don't think kink-unfriendly fandoms exist. Vanilla fandoms, sure, but most fandoms have a kink in particular they latch onto, and large fandoms have several kinks. Unless your fandom is, like, six people or the Bible, I think you're exaggerating.)

Sometimes I think people's issue with sexism in media could be solved by watching more anime with major female casts (the ones that are made for adult consumers, not 13 year old boys). Anime has better female characters than the majority of other mediums. Show me a recent popular movie with a more diverse cast of girls with their own goals, ambitions, etc. than this.

I feel like I'm the only person in this fandom who likes Saruman as a character. What little fic I've found is mostly bad lolrandom humor where he gets bagged on by everyone else. I mean, he's horrible, but I think he's also interesting and deserves better stories than that.

It's especially annoying because I find people constantly joking or talking about hypothetical fics about him they'd apparently read, but nobody will write them. (I cannot write to save my life, or I'd do it.)

As much as I like this one fanfic, the main Original Character is too much of a Mary Sue for me. I usually tolerate Original Characters but there is so much that I can take. I would much rather have the canon characters have their rightful moments of development than to indulge the main Original Characters so much in the fic.

What even qualifies as "too many" what qualifies as "knowing enough"? People like what they like, for whatever reason they like, while know how ever much they know about something. And if they're shallow as fuck about - WHO THE FUCK CARES?

People *get* to like things for shallow reasons. People get to pick up things and then drops them.

Just because you can't fucking handle fandom casually doesn't mean everyone else shares your deficiency.

The movie was my first exposure to this story, and it's got a very distinct style/palette and already looks very much like a modern graphic novel. Picking up the loud, sloppy, 80's Jack Kirby-does-Garfield comic after seeing the movie flat-out killed any enthusiasm I had for reading it.
