Keep an eye on your hits. If a story -- especially an older one -- gets a sudden flood of hits, you might just have a reccer somewhere.

Granted, a spike could just be a random neutrino event, but you'll be happier if you can accept that just because you haven't seen a rec doesn't mean it's not happening somewhere.
