Oh we're quite familiar with the Prisoner, long before this recent kick. It was one of the few series we owned on VHS. Mom watched the new one and wasn't impressed, I gave it a pass as I was in school then. I'm a little hesitant to get into long-running American series because we're on the cheapest one-disc-at-a-time plan and we don't sit down and watch 4+ episodes of something a day. My list is indeed mostly movies/miniseries/short British series.

My mom was a big fan of the original Man from UNCLE when it first aired when she was a kid, I think she might be reticent to rewatch it now and be disappointed.

The one thing she does wish we could find is Ian Holm in "Game Set Match", but there is no official dvd release because the author of the novels was very unhappy with the tv adaptations. There is a "fan remaster" dvd I found online somewhere, knit together from people's taped-off-tv VHS tapes from the original airings. But the website looked kiiinda sketchy so I passed.

I've watched MfU as an adult, and while the pacing is kinda wonky in a 60s way, and the sfx are of course deeply silly, I still quite liked it! You can at least give it a go ^^
