Yes, I know Prince of Tennis and its portrayal of tennis as a Badass Manly Sport. I'm just really behind, so.

That would be the end result of the Doubles 2 match in the finals vs. Rikkai. Kirihara went a little batshit, and so did Kaidoh. Inui took the brunt of it (from Kirihara, that is), while Yanagi stood nearby and watched fascinatedly like the responsible, mature sempai that he is. (Not a scornful statement at all.)

Sure, if you don't mind. I'm ridiculously behind, but it's not like Prince of Tennis has so much ongoing plot that you can't skip a bit.

Which doesn't explain why Tezuka lost to Sanada, unless you conclude that Konomi is even more in love with Sanada than with Tezuka, and then how does he feel about Echize— LOOK. I have two different Pokémon/Prince of Tennis crossovers in my head; one's set in the Pokéverse, and the other's set in Teniverse, more or less — just with Pokémon battles instead of tennis.

And jeez, tell me about it. :/ I wrote two apps there.

wait, what? Fuji and Niou? So the Golden Pair aren't being set up for their happyhappy victory to get even (in the most sunshiney-morally upstanding-puppylittercute way possible)? How genuinely surprising - Konomi actually opted for something less predictable. (God, you know your standards are low when you're praising someone for the match-ups)

...unless this on-court Niou is like, Yuuta in disguise or something equally cracktastic. Make it happen, Konomi!

Yyyyyep. Fuji and Niou. Or Fuji and Tezuka, if you will. I was pleasantly surprised, myself.

Yuuta dressed as Niou? That's right up there with what I said to

fyredra earlier: Second bet is that the Kaidoh who was with Inui in the hospital was actually Yagyuu, and Kaidoh is currently dressed as Yagyuu dressed as Niou disguised as Tezuka, slaughtering Fuji on-court. He'll throw the match before the end, because that was the payment he demanded in exchange for letting Yagyuu wrap Inui up as a favour to Renji for later.

I'm counting on at least one more curveball before Nationals ends. Maybe not quite that curvy, but, well....

Money says he chose not to, which is why, in the end, Rikkai are still the villains. Inui stopped Kaidoh from flipping out; he did the responsible thing, the (arguably) right thing, while Renji stood aside and let Akaya have his petty little way with the other team, because who cares how you win, as long as you win, right? That's the Rikkai way. ☆

... Heeeeee. And there were theories going around before Nationals/Yukimura's return (the ones I like best were written by Branch in ficform), that there might be a stop put to Akaya's Red-Eye Mode once buchou was back. OBVIOUSLY THAT HAS NOT BEEN THE CASE OH RIKKAI. XD ♥♥♥ Oh maan, hells yes the Rikkai way. ☆

But seriously, despite the beating Rikkai's taken from fandom at times, I will never, ever love another team as much as I love Rikkai. No one else even comes close. ♡
