#23, ty for saying that. I don't know what they're reading or where, but I write slash and I can assure you my men are men and not weepy handwringers, and 100% of my flist write them that way too.

it must be the crowd they hang with or something.

I know that stereotype was BIG a few years back but... even on the scans communities I watch there seems to be at the very least a balance. Hell, I like my pairings to be relative to the characters somewhat, I've not got a preference but I know there's a lot of stuff out there... But I'm not too hot on the weepy submissive thing when I play the "uke" character myself... Unless there's REASON for it or it fits the character.

Rambling now, but yeah... Possibly the crowd. Sorry, OP /o\;;
