But if I could be for serious here for a moment, I love Higurashi and most assuredly not just for the violence (you want violence/disturbing imagery? read Battle Angel Alita. Great desensitizer that manga is) it's got a refreshing and intriguing storyline and I'm a sucker for mysteries. And with your kind of logic, that's like saying people liking a fandom incest pairing means they secretly want to raep their siblings IRL, which is just ignorant and, not to mention, icky.

And speaking as someone who has had her whole nail ripped off, I would never even dream about doing that to someone else. That shit hurts, man D=
