Notes:

Hey, "Hint Hint ^_^"? If your secret's not a secret and was never posted, maybe you should, you know, have made it a secret instead of bitching about it afterward. Logic, right?

Go on, be angry! It's fun to watch. (:

Actually, it is. If you poke around the links on the sidebar, you'll notice that the people who do "Blogging 4 Brownback" also have a CafePress store selling shirts/bags/thongs/etc declaring "Heliocentrism Is An Atheist Doctrine."

The initial article itself was suspect, but not undeniably satire. Selling thongs that say "Heliocentrism Is An Atheist Doctrine"? Yeah, that's pretty much a giveaway.

I know that there is a lot of real stupidity out there, but it bothers me when people unthinkingly accept that something ridiculously stupid is real rather than satire. To me that shows an insultingly low opinion of the intelligence of people with other beliefs.

Brownback is a Republican Presidential hopeful, so I can see why people might think it's real, but... yeah.

I think the greatest giveaway is any Republican group giving a flying fuck about anime. Maybe in '04, where the strategy was to distract people as much as humanly possible, but not in the current political climate.

WATCH THE NEWS, FOLKS.

Oh, good. I thought it sounded like it was (especially since the writer seemed to have a suspicious amount of knowledge about anime), but I wasn't sure, and I didn't think to poke around the links.
