I really hope the show A) goes that long, and B) is able to get the rights to Clarice. I want to see this version of Hannibal have just as intense a relationship with Clarice as he does with Will. On top of that, I want Will to be around less by then. Granted, I'm not sure the show would ever go so far as to remove him as a lead, but if they get to later story lines, that's Clarice's time to shine, and she should be center stage.

As much as I am for a bisexual Hannibal and find his games with Will fascinating, I would love this.

The one does not rule out the other. I always felt that even in the Hannibal movie his bisexuality was heavily implied.

how was it implied?

For he record, I do not mean "Silence of the Lambs", I mean "Hannibal". And to me it always felt like his original encounter with Mason Verger was supposed to be sexual/romantic with a D/s dynamic, which is basically how they ended up in a situation where Verger semi-willingly mutilated himself for Hannibal.

I'm still not sure if Hannibal's sexuality can be defined quite in the same way as for, you know, sane people - I think there's a manipulation aspect to all his relationships, and I'm not even sure he's into regular sex, however he seems to enjoy manipulating/playing with men pretty similarly as to doing so with women.

ayrt from above

I saw the Verger thing as purely manipulation on Hannibal's part. Granted Hannibal could have used his own sexuality as a part of the manipulation, but I wasn't going to assume that.

He does sleep with Clarice later on after manipulating her into a relationship with him. So he does have sex and apparently enjoys it the same way he enjoys and appreciates all the other fine arts as it is suggested in Hannibal, even if there is always a degree of manipulation involved. Whether or not he would do the same with a man is still an unknown, though I wouldn't be surprised if he would.

I second the above question.

No matter who he is with, I find a bisexual Hannibal very spot on but would like more perspective.
