Yeah the show focuses a bit more on people that have jobs they don't want and how awful the system actually is. One of the side characters was determined to be a criminal since he was a child (since they measure mental instability i think it was?) and he was forced to be imprisoned or an enforcer, which is basically a cop that gets limited freedom and hunts other criminals.

I can understand why some people (especially younger people out of college) would want this system since a lot of them have no idea what to do with their lives, but the show is a dystopic setting with a fucked up system where more people suffer than are benefitted. (which is probably why this is a secret)
