I find them both much more bearable in the movies, I think because the actors seem perfectly pleasant and sometimes charming. Also, the movies cut some of their most obnoxious moments, and give them moments where they actually feel like friends, not like WORLD-WEARY SAVIOR and his dopey sidekick.
