Oh, yes, and I've never found a highschool AU I actually enjoyed. I'm not necessarily entirely against the concept, but I've never seen it work well and generally am not interested.

I don't mind the idea of HS AUs either, but yeah IA that it's really hard to get right. Usually, if the characters are school-aged in canon, there's a better chance of it working properly, but for fandoms like SPN and MCU it's just so... why.
