(Anonymous) 2013-07-12 12:52 am (UTC)(link)- Are you crafty? Create stuff and sell it on the internet (etsy, for example).
- Are there any kind of services you can do from home? Cooking, translating, editing? Widen your search area for jobs with this in mind.
- Go back to the places you've applied to, give your CV and covering letter. Call them some time letter to ask if they've taken a decision about you.
Good luck!

(Anonymous) 2013-07-12 01:03 am (UTC)(link)Working from home isn't really an option because I live with my family and they make getting anything productive done impossible. I can't even study. That's why I'm trying to save up to move out as soon as possible.
Will bother more places. I did talk to the guy in charge of a business I applied to in town multiple times, and he said I would get a call back multiple times, but I never did. This being after they "lost" my first application. I just figured they wanted nothing to do with me and were too nice to say it. ._.
Anyway, thank you!

You may as well also straight up follow up with folks. Who knows, maybe they'll give you a real reason (it might sadly be that there were shitloads of applications cause everybody else needs a job too).
Would you be willing to move? There might be some subsidized housing in places you didnt' think of applying to.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-12 04:33 am (UTC)(link)Moving isn't an option. Trust me, I hate this place, and I'd be so far gone if I could afford it. But I need to save up a lot of money before I can even think about getting out of here.
