Can someone explain? I just googled him. I saw something about prank calls but didn't see anything in the article about rape.

I'm amazed that Sachsgate got so much coverage, but this was never picked up on at all.

I'm secretly convinced that behind his Lovable Lunatic act is an actual psychopath.

I don't know why, but he sets off my predator warning alarm like nothing I've ever seen. He says things I actually like from time to time, especially when it comes to addiction, and I've even read his book and liked it - but on a purely instinctive level I'm convinced that every bit of empathy he displays is just for show. I look at him, and on an intellectual level I know it's probably bullshit, but every single fibre of me screams run!

I can believe it. I think he's a total creep.

I honestly find that completely believable

I agree with you, I remember him from back in the day when he started out and his only gig was Big Brother's Little Brother! He always struck me as being disingenuous. He throws quotes around as if he's well read and intellectual, but they would often be wrong, he'd say "As Shakespeare said.." and then quote TS Eliot, that sort of thing.

The prank calls showed a real lack of empathy and caring, I can't imagine spending any time with him, I think he'd drive you crazy.

I haven't heard about the prank call, but I've been pretty disgusted with him since the deal with him harassing the wardrobe worker to show him her breasts.

Just...someone who forgot that there's this thing called "growing up" in life, and works in one of hte few industries that makes it ok not to.

I've taught six-year-olds why they don't prank call emergency numbers, and they seem to understand just fine.

I agree. I find him funny most of the time actually, but every now and then he'll make a joke that is just... wrong. And not even funny. And then I remember why I don't like him at all.
