Secret 1 (warning for explicit text)
I want to fuck him until he cries and then fuck his pain away. Does this make me a monster?
Secret 2 (spoilers for Hawaii Five-0, the newer version)
[Picture is Officer Kona "Kono" Kalakaua and Lieutenant Catherine Rollins from the 2010 TV show "Hawaii Five-O". Kono has medium-long dark hair and tanned skin, and is looking sort of concerned or upset at something off-screen. she is wearing a blue blouse. Catherine has medium-long brown hair and very lightly-tanned pale skin. She is smiling confidently at something or someone off-screen.]
Not secret: I want Kono Kalakaua to come back to the team.
Not secret: I really hope Catherine Rollins won't take Kono's place on the team.
Not secret: I'm usually all in favor of more screen time for the ladies.
Secret: It's because I hated how much screen time Catherine had in season 3 and would rather kick her off the show and do without other ladies, as long as Kono is there. Even though I love Catherine's character in theory.
Bonus secret: I think Steve could do better, but so could she.
Secret 3 (spoilers for Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars)
[Picture is a nighttime image of a pub on a street corner named "The Railway Arms" from the TV show "Ashes to Ashes".]
I love Ashes to Ashes, I think it's a truly brilliant show, and a worthy sequel series, though I could never form the same emotional connection to it as Life On Mars. And I think the real reason for this is the fact that in the end, we understand. We get closure. We know what being sent to the past means.
And that... that sort of ruined it for me. I came away from Life On Mars with the idea that it's all about believing, about following your heart, fuck what makes sense, fuck what the others say. Go ahead, do it, jump. You're alive when you feel and all that. Explaining the workings of it took away some of the magic. Maybe I didn't want to know what it meant in the end. Maybe, like Sam, I just wanted to be left guessing, believing.
If you say you like Ashes to Ashes less than Life on Mars you get accused of being a bitter Sam fangirl.
Secret 4 (spoilers for A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones)
[Picture is Eddard "Ned" Stark from the TV show "Game of Thrones". He is a middle-aged man with pale skin, medium-length brown hair, a short beard and mustache. He is clutching the hilt of something (a sword, maybe?) with a glove hand, and is wearing a fur-lined coat.]
I'm still bummed out that he died. I think he would've made an awesome king! [angry face emoticon]
Secret 5 (warning for trivialization of sexual assault?)
[Picture is the comedian Russell Brand. He is a man with slightly pale skin, medium-length tangled and messy wavy brown hair, and is wearing a black shirt with some buttons undone and a dark sweater or jacket over it. He is talking animatedly with a microphone near his mouth.]
I can't stand him. I think he's a total poser and a woman hater. Who the hell thinks it's funny to make a prank call about rape? Oh yeah... him.
Secret because: He has sooo many fans. And they're eager to defend him.
Secret 6 (warning for sexual assault)
[Picture is a collection of screen-captures of a scene between Eric Northman and Willa Burrell from the TV show "True Blood". She is a woman with long brown hair and pale skin, wearing nightclothes and sitting in a bedroom during nighttime. Eric is a man with short brown hair and pale skin, fully dressed. He is kneeling in front of Willa and is sensually touching her and putting his mouth to her chest.
I thought it was really gross how some of the True Blood fandom tried to downplay or defend Eric sexually assaulting Willa.
Secret 7 (warning for minor with adult pairing)
[Picture is Alois Trancy and Claude Faustus from the anime "Kuroshitsuji". Alois is a fourteen year old boy with short light blonde hair and wearing a cape. Claude Faustus is a young man with short black hair and long side bangs wearing an uniform. Both are wearing expensive clothing.]
I used to avoid any chan/shota related thing like the plague but now I am much more willing to try some before dismissing them off hand. I can directly thank this pairing for getting me to like some shota things. I mean, they just fit so amazingly well together it became impossible for me NOT to ship them.
As far as I'm concerned, this is canon. They are my Kuroshitsuji One True Pairing and I will absolutely go down with this ship. [heart emoticon]
Secret because: Obvious. Shota can be a hot topic with many people and I used to agree with them. But I think not trying something is worse than trying something and finding out you don't like it. If you don't like something, fine. But don't dismiss it off hand.
Notes and a correction!
---
An anonymous person kindly informed me that these two are in fact Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian, not Alois and Claude!
Ciel is a 12-13 year old boy with short dark hair, an eye-path over his right eye and blue eyes. Sebastian matches the general description for Claude, somewhat.

whoops one more correction
http://fanlore.org/wiki/Chan
Its use in Western media fandom originated in Star Wars fandom, specifically among Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan slashers, who took to calling young Obi-Wan "Obi-chan". Fics about Qui-Gon and underage!Obi-Wan were then called chan.
These stories were controversial because at the time it was unusual for slash fiction to describe characters under the age of eighteen in sexual relationships. There were exceptions, for example A Swedish Bedtime Story[2] from 1997. In this Mulder/Krycek AU Krycek is the fifteen-year-old son of a fisherman. However, the disclaimer implies that the age of the character was perceived as problematic, because it explicitly states that this is not pedophilia and points out that fifteen is the age of consent in Sweden. By the time Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan fanfic conquered slash fandom, the situation had changed to some degree. Inspired by the Jedi Apprentice books where a thirteen year old Obi-Wan is expected to travel the galaxy on his own and take up adult responsibilities, it was argued that if he is old enough to fight and old enough to have a job, he should be old enough to explore his own sexuality.
In February 2000 the chanslash mailing list was founded. This was in part a reaction to a panel at Escapade, where some people argued that Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had to wait until after Obi-Wan was knighted or it would harm Obi-Wan. Fueled by the conviction that there is no single magic moment like the 18th birthday, or having a braid cut off, that turns a relationship from being harmful to one that isn't, the list was supposed to be a place where stories about a younger Obi-Wan and his interest in his master could be shared and discussed without having to worry about offending other fans who felt these stories were inappropriate.
Although the title description said "Chanslash. A slash only list devoted to the relationship between an older and younger fan fic character", the list was from the very beginning a multifandom list open to any pairing with a teenage character, including same-age pairings. Today "chan" usually refers to fic where one half of the pairing is underage and the other is an adult, although it is sometimes also used for stories pairing two underage characters.
In the rest of the page, there appears to be some arguing over the exact definition.
The list manager defined chanslash for the purposes of the list as follows:
The only requirement I see for any fiction here is that it deal with a slash relationship of fan fic characters at least one of whom is underaged, but NOT pre-puberty, at the beginning of the story. Beyond that any category of story goes. Yes, even elves if you must.[3]
Other sites that archived TPM content used variations of that definition, for example "Chan (teen/adult or teen/teen relationships) is accepted, as long as the younger character(s) shows secondary sexual characteristics"[4] and Master & Apprentice, the main archive for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace slash, still defines chan as age 15-17.[5]
Due to fannish drift the meaning of the term changed when it began to be used in Harry Potter fandom, first including pairings where one character was pre-puberty and then sometimes being limited to pairings where one character was pre-puberty, becoming synonymous with shota. A reason for this might be that sexually explicit fanfiction with characters between 15 and 17 was already common in Harry Potter fandom, and fans may not have seen those stories as needing to be marked by a special term.
Today, because the term chan has so many different meanings, it often needs additional qualifiers to be understood.
Sorry, I had mostly seen chan being used in the same context as shota, but apparently it's unisex. Shota is definitely involving a male minor, though.
It's okay, anon. I've seen the horrors so you don't have to.
Secret 8 (warning for emotional abuse)
[Picture is Hannibal Lecter talking earnestly to Will Graham from the TV show "Hannibal". Will is looking to one side. It looks like Will is sitting down somewhere, while Hannibal is standing in front of him and leaning down to be at a face-to-face height with him. Hannibal has short, straight brown hair and a lightly tanned skin. He is wearing a dark suit with a white shirt and a red tie, all looking kind of expensive. Will is a man with lightly tanned skin and wavy short brown hair. He is wearing light brown shirt or jacket.]
Their relationship dynamic makes me realise that what I and my ex-boyfriend had was far from healthy. Unfortunately, as much as it hurts to admit, I was the "Will". And he gave even less of a damn, as it turned out. He almost broke me. And I see a lot of the same behaviors reflected in the show.
Too long; didn't read: It took me a show about serial killers to realise that my ex was emotionally abusive and manipulative, and quite possibly has some kind of a personality disorder.
Bonus secret: I still miss him, I still love him, and I'd still take him back. That is fucked up.
Secret 9 (warning for sexual abuse, extortion and dubious consent)
[Picture is a fanart of Edward Elric and Roy Mustang from the anime "Full Metal Alchemist", and another image is a screen-capture of Alphonse Elric and a screen-capture of Roy Mustang cropped to put them together, their heads side by side and smiling. Edward Elric has pale skin and long blond hair, with an artificial metallic right arm. Alphonse Elric has short blond hair and pale skin, and is wearing a white shirt. Roy Mustang has pale skin and short black hair. In the screen-capture he is wearing a dark blue military uniform, while in the fanart, he and Edward are both naked.]
Secret: I think Edward/Roy is overrated. Frankly, it bores me to tears unless Roy is a complete asshole. Bonus points for rape/dubious consent, and Ed loathing him, but forced into the position where he has to be Roy's boytoy. No love, no affection.
Bigger secret: I adore Alphonse/Roy. I think they're so much more interesting and frigging adorable. (Recommendations appreciated!!!!)
I couldn't even find any good images of Roy/Alphonse to share here, so I had to crop my own. *sob sob sob*
Secret 10 (warning for incest)
Not secret: I have a HUGE brother/sister incest kink.
Secret: This ship squicks me out like no other. What the fuck, self? They're foster siblings who've just met, it's not like they were raised together or are related by blood. ...If they were, I'd probably ship it.
Not Secret 1
If you're going to Role Play a canonically lesbian character, you should not draw all of these straight crack ships with your muse and the male characters you fancy, and put on your Role Play blog. That is not how you Role Play. Respect the character you're portraying! Plus, you don't even portray the character correctly. You're just using the name of a popular character and using it to "flirt" with Role Players of your favourite male characters. If that's what you want to do, pretending that you're the character, then don't pick the ONE canon lesbian!
