Planescape Torment is bad. It's a load of overwrought melodramatic self-indulgent wash too wrapped up in its CREEPYCOOLDARK fantasy freakshow setting and its own breathless obsession with detail to be anything actually well written, with truly excruciating gameplay mechanics that suck out any remaining fun the game might've had. It's very, very 90s in the worst way and it shows.

I recommend going for both if you can easily afford it, otherwise pick whichever sounds more like something you'd be interested in.
