I agree with you, for what it's worth, but how many people own only one style of clothes? Everyone has (or should have) professional and casual clothes in their wardrobe, so whether you'd wear something in all situations isn't really the issue here.

but... that is the problem isn't it? The secret is about how much of fat fashion is all about pinups or rockability stuff. meaning that if i want to find something fashionable to wear to the office, most of what i am going to find is this style. which i don't want to wear because it is not office appropriate. but i also don't wanna basically wear a sack with buttons on it which often is the only other option short of 'oh you are fat, have a muumuu'.

Do an office to evening switch?
Stick a flattering cardigan or blazer on top of a somewhat curvy dress and take it off after 5. If you can find the right combo, it can look really good and be very practical too.
