That's true, I just hate the idea of people giving up on it because they have a preconceived notion of what it's going to be. Not much I can do about that, I guess though. I guess I could indicate it in my tags, but IDEK if I like the idea of doing that.

God, balancing wanting to people to read my story with wanting to uphold its integrity is rough.

:( I figure, if you can get it out there integrity intact and someone likes it, you can just love the shit out of those people and write all the things for them? doesn't always work, emotionally, though. Comparing yourself/your audience to other writers is a plague. And yeah, tags are awesome IF it's something you can imagine another person in your fandom clicking on and surfing. There's nothing like a rare but beloved kink tag to up your page views, though most of them will just fap and ctrl+w without ever leaving any feedback.
