Re: Motel ettiquette

I stay in a lot of motels. I also seem to clog toilets more often than is typical (don't know why - I eat a ton of fiber). I just ask for a plunger if I need to unclog the toilet. So far, no one has ever insisted on unclogging it for me. They just give me the plunger and then make a disgusted face when I return it.

If it were a nicer hotel, I'd probably expect them to send housekeeping or maintenance but at a cheap motel, I don't care if I have to take care of it myself.
