Like other above have said, you can be fit and fat! But exercise when able is always great, it raises the mood and makes you feel more confident in your body. It can be tricky, though, and it took me a while to find something that really clicked.

First off, it needs to be something fun. Every other night I go out to walk, with spurts of running here and there. Normally it would be hell and miserable and I'd hate every second. But since I have a music player, the time flies, and more often than not I'm out jogging for walking/jogging for almost three hours. So music helps.

Depending on your personality, you may prefer to exercise alone, with a partner, or in a group. I'm extremely shy - I have social anxiety even - but I found that working in a group, especially for a dance class was fun and rewarding. Since there's a trainer leading the class, you can't really "cheat" and stop; you get the best work out you can.

And I know you still don't feel comfortable in your body, but above all I think it's important for you to accept your beautiful self. I know, like you said, it's a lot easier said than done, even when fandom and your friends tell you there's nothing to be ashamed of. If it really starts to needle at you, therapy might be something to consider. Exercise can only help mental health so much.

Whatever you choose, or don't choose, I wish you luck in you endeavors, OP.
