You're preaching to the choir :P I'm a pescetarian, and while I eat fish, I don't eat it every day. I try to make good choices by eating a lot of produce and protein-rich foods such as eggs, milk, peanut butter etc.

Cutting out meat is really good for you but it needs to be done the right way.

It's very easy to fall down the path of junk food only while being vegetarian, easier I'd say than a meat-eater.

ia with this to an extent. Lots of popular meat-filled food is junk food itself (fast food hamburgers, etc.) The temptation to eat lots of carbs is there for everyone, and lots of people have the snack bug regardless of diet. But yes, it is easier to turn to extra carbs when you're not having meat as an entree at every other meal. Something people should be aware of if they want to make that choice.

Chard's comment just struck me as being really over-the-top. Like, "you can't be a vegetarian there's nothing left to eat!" I might have been misreading it; hostility to vegetarianism in general annoys me and probably colored my perception of it.
