It is because back in the 1970s comic publishers expected their readers to not be whiny manchildren who delighted in putting women down to cover up their own insecurities. Sadly as women have advanced, men have gotten more and more immature and childish. These days most guys seem to be more caricatures of 5th graders in adult bodies and determined to keep themselves that way. That applies even more so to producers and distributors of movies and comics, they seem to be determined to be enablers of that permanent brathood of guys. I long for the days when you told a guy to go pick up some coal or bring the shopping in from the car, that they'd just do it without whining about missing something on their xbox or making a joke about sandwiches. Guys, just man up and show some dignity.

Could also be an MRA. They also want men to go mack to "ye good ole manly days" but they probably would have thrown in more sandwich jokes.

Woman should makes sure the man has earned his sandwich properly before she makes it for him. Most of today's urban-hipster xbox-brats wouldn't know how to be a man to start with. They deserve to starve, or maybe given forced sex change operations and put in the kitchen themselves to serve the real men.

Thank you for making the point that today it is all about emotionally stunted brats who cannot get out of the mental kindergarten.

Might I recommend pornhub for all your masturbatory needs?

I think you're on the wrong forum, nonny.

In what way have you concocted that to be a slur? Men who act like children should act like men -- hence the phrase "man up." If you want to go tell some woman who's acting like a child to woman up, you go right on ahead.

Because it plays up the stereotypes of what being a man is. Think about how much shit an anon would get if they told some woman to act "more lady like."

No, it plays to the stereotype of what being an adult is. Ladylike has no business in this conversation. Because "Lady" (and lady like) is not the flipside to "man" on the gender coin. It's the flipside to gentleman.

I see just as many female brats as i see male brats (see the whole useles yolo generation). I think this is just something where everyone makes their own experiences and sometimes, our opinions can cloud what we see. In my experience, many women see more "dicks" while many men see more "bitches".

Another point: as a woman i don't want anyone telling me how to be a woman, let alone a real woman, so everytime someone starts with the whole "how to be a real man", i just stop listening to what that person has to say, just as i stop listening when a man is trying to tell my "how to be a real woman".

Except when a guy sees an uppity bitch, what he is seeing is a woman that won't bow before his obvious greatness and be his sex-mom. When a woman sees a guy acting like an immature dick, chances are it is because they are doing the whole make me a sammitch, clean my crib, and flash your boobs because I deserve it routine.

The two are not equal. One is about hating someone for not conforming to a submissive stereotype, the other is over seeing someone trying to force a submissive social role on them.
