Totally agree op.
It's not made for women, it's not made for empowerment of any kind except to empower the neckbeard slime who spend their pathetic lives wanking over the idea of controlling women.

If it's made for women, it's made as a tool of abuse against us.

Women who find it empowering are fools who don't understand why these types of things exist.

Please elaborate. What would you consider an empowering game for women? How would it be used as a tool of abuse? And why would a woman finding empowerment through this game be fools (considering that what everyone finds empowering is different)?

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
A game made by women for a start. no woman was a part of creating that game, I'll tell you that for nothing.

It's a tool of abuse in the same way that every male created fap material is. it's degrading, dehumanizing, and promoting of all the terrible things associated with 'fanservice' aimed at males.

Would a woman who thinks she's being empowered whilst in an abusive relationship count as a fool, in your opinion? If you feel empowered while you're being degraded, then you are a fool.

[identity profile] galerian-ash.livejournal.com 2013-07-17 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
If you are serious, you are a fucking idiot. I'm not even gonna bother with that disgusting comparison to abusive relationships, but your little "no woman was a part of creating that game, I'll tell you that for nothing" comment?

THE CHARACTER DESIGNER OF BAYONETTA IS A WOMAN.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Bullshit.

[identity profile] galerian-ash.livejournal.com 2013-07-17 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
No, her name is Mari Shimazaki -- and she's not the only female to have worked on this game. Maybe do some research before you make statements like that in the future.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
look up Mari Shimazaki...

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
A woman would be able to get the fucking anatomy right, for a start.

[identity profile] galerian-ash.livejournal.com 2013-07-17 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeees... because all female artists always draw anatomy in a realistic manner.

You either have no life and are doing this for kicks, or you're just really damn ignorant. Whichever it is, I'm not bothering any more.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahahahahaha pick up some shoujo manga.
diet_poison: (Default)

[personal profile] diet_poison 2013-07-18 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
because all women are talented artists, and no men are!

yeah...

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
And you'd be wrong, Mari Shimazaki was one of the main character designers.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah okay, I wasn't sure if you were a troll but yes you are. Go away.
kaijinscendre: (Default)

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2013-07-17 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh...I am pretty sure the character designer is a woman named Mari Shimazaki. So oops.

And I assume "fap material" is porn? In that case, it isn't abuse unless the actresses and actors in the film have been coerced. Which the majority have not.

And a woman in an abusive relationship is not comparable. A woman being empowered by this isn't going to hurt her. She has not been forced to play the game.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-17 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Just fuck you all. Fucking misogyny on this community is nothing new.

But let me tell you something about your precious Mari Shimazaki (Other than the fact that the Japanese have perfected misogyny in their media to an artform) If you think she had any significant input in the design, and wasn't forced into creating the jizz-mag model design we wound up with, then you clearly have no idea about how the industry works.

More than likely she was hired specifically so they had a woman to blame it on. "We're not sexist, she did it, and she has a vagina so it's not sexist!!!1!"

I don't think you get to tell anyone what they're allowed to find empowering.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-18 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
so... if someone found the KKK empowering, you'd be cool with that?

If you aren't trolling, I'm not sure why you hang out at f!s. Just going on your wording. I don't think it's really somewhere you'd enjoy for the fandoms. I mean, I think misogyny is everywhere but I have a reasonably high tolerance for it in terms of enjoyment of shows etc. And don't have such a radfem101 perspective - "fools" ffs, it's "women are stupid dupes", such a simple and satisfying and snobbish rationale.

You know the great thing about feminism? I get to decide what I find empowering, not you.
