Wow, lots of judgment here. For some people, weddings just aren't that exciting and not being over the moon about it isn't abnormal. I've been happily married for 14 years now, but the wedding? Eh. Another social occasion to get over with so you can get to the good part.

I think your attitude is rare, but completely refreshing. Way too many people get caught up in the idea of the ONE PERFECT DAY, and they spend so much time and energy on that, and seem to forget that the marriage is much more important than the wedding and it (hopefully) lasts a hell of a lot longer. So, good on you! :)

I think more women than men go crazy about their wedding day because from early on little girls get 'trained' to do so.
Just look at how much focus is always on finding one man to be with until you die and weddings in media for little girls.
Plus, the wedding industry is a thing.

My wife actually got made fun of because she didn't want a big poofy white dress when we got married. People were saying things like "you two looked the same, lol. Who of you was the bride again?" and "you look like you got divorced, not married" when they saw the photos from our wedding day.
