Pacific Rim's finally convinced me Big Willie has the sense of scale needed for something like this. His aesthetic sensibility's gotten too slick of late, though. He needs to harken back to his earlier works to truly get that unsettling touch in the horror aspect.

Assuming your talking about del Toro, I think he recognizes what each film needs. He's a really smart, passionate guy dedicated to making the best of the best. He's like a goddamn shounen hero if you hear him talk about movies. Who's funny. I think he would recognize what a AoT movie needed.

I have a stiffie for him can you tell.
