Agreed. People know the ramifications of getting into illicit substances, and one of the very great risks is that you will die.

I feel bad for the family and the loved ones that he left behind.

Is this supposed to mean you don't feel bad for him at all?

Because seriously. he was 13.

And even if that weren't the case? He's still human. Premature human death is a tragedy.

People know the ramifications of eating too much.
People know the ramifications of driving too fast.
People know the ramifications of having sex without a condom.
People know the ramifications of spending too much money.
People know the ramifications of downloading songs illegally.
People know the ramifications of getting drunk.

So, you don't ever feel sorry for anyone who ever makes a bad decision?

if they willingly engage in a risky behavior? no, i don't. i don't feel sorry for someone who does illegal drugs, i don't feel sorry for someone who participates in extreme sports and breaks their neck in the process, and i don't feel sorry for someone who speeds and wrecks their car and kills themselves.

all of them involve a conscious choice to participate in something that is well-known to involve the risk of death. they made that choice willingly.

then you sound like a sociopath, sry 2 say. i'm glad you're so high and mighty that you've never ever made a mistake or had a lapse in judgment that you feel so free to judge indiscriminately. please tell me more about how you've never once in your life engaged in risky behavior.

never said i haven't. but if something had happened to me as a result? then yes, it would be 100% my fault for being an idiot and people would be free to judge me for it.

people can do whatever shit they want, but they also need to take responsibility for their own actions and not expect sympathy for the dumb choices that they deliberately made.
