This seems an incredibly ignorant and non-compassionate secret to me. Addiction isn't easier to buck because you're famous and appear to have it all. I expect it might make it harder- just look at the number of celebrities who appeared to have it all and died young from drugs or booze or whatever. And btw, OP, none of us EVER know what someone else's life is really like. So you think he had everything and chose to throw it away? How do you know? Were you magically privy to all aspects of his personal life? Do you know for a fact that he had no private demons he had to grapple with?
