I don't understand your deal. You can be sad about someone's death while also understanding that they made a lot of bad choices that helped lead to their demise. My cousin was a drug addict for a long time and while my family tried many times to help him and he attempted to get clean several times, he eventually succumbed to his addiction. Was he responsible for his death? Unfortunately, yes. Addiction is a disease, but that doesn't mean he didn't bear the responsibility for his actions and that doesn't excuse all of the terrible things he did while he was on drugs (lying, hurting and stealing from his family for example). Does this mean that his death wasn't sad? Of course not. His death was devastating because we all remember the bright, kind person he was before he got on drugs and even when he was battling addiction, he still had those rare moments when his former self shined through and it was like having the old him back. I still mourn for my cousin and I can't blame people for being upset because an actor they loved died.
