You and me both.

It's not even sympathy for the mother. It's self-righteous bullshit about ~lifestyle choices are personal and we must never judge anyone for anything no matter how destructive and disgusting it may be~

That's all peaches and cream until there's a dead baby in the apartment. This is the culmination of years of theft, lies, midnight phone calls from my aunt, trouble with law enforcement, pleas for bail, and all matter of other drama. And people are still desperate to paint her as a victim. Y'all want her, and every other drug addict, to be some tragic victim who needs a hug and the chance to talk about how terrible her life is, and that's not the case.

This Glee actor wasn't innocent either. He was a dumbass who got lucky and threw it away for an overdose. I guarantee you he left a group of people who are grieving. He's not the one who has to clean up the emotional mess he left behind. He's not the one who has to identify a body, make funeral arrangements, and deal with the public. All drugs do is leave behind a big mess for someone else to clean up.

Oh, go fuck yourself. You know zero about this guy's personal life, what led him to addiction, and how often he might have genuinely tried to get help.

You might know more about your cousin, but that doesn't make you the authority on addiction.

What happened in your family was tragic, but not every addict is like your cousin, and your experience do not give you a super special free pass to condemn everyone who ever struggled with an addiction.
