Re: why are nerds/fandom

I think it's not so much that nerds and fandom types are necessarily more kinky, but nerds are so used to being judged by society for harmless interests that fandom culture tends to be more explicitly anti-judging (not that fans and fandom circles don't get judgey as fuck sometimes, but the terms "YKINMKATOK" and "kink-shaming" were coined for a reason). Anonymity (and pseudonymity) probably also helps.
