The problem is, you don't know exactly what was going through his mind and in his life up until that moment. Just because he's famous and loved doesn't mean his life was perfect.

Who knows? He might've had a mental disorder that made it seem impossible to be happy, no matter how good his life got. Maybe he had anxiety problems and couldn't fully believe in others' love and support. Maybe the stress was too much in the end. Maybe he just couldn't escape the trappings of his past. Who are we to judge?
