[Picture is the cover and backcover of a "Doctor Who" DVD case.]

I saw a few cheap Doctor Who DVDs (I think it was mostly New Doctor Who) at a thrift shop when I was dropping off some things, but chickened out of buying them because as much as I like that Who exists, I consider it my guilty pleasure.

Wise move, OP. If you had bought them, the Fandom Police would have added you to the database of Serious Doctor Who Fans and then everyone you know would know that you like Doctor Who. Imagine, the social suicide! Bullet dodged!

This, you don't want to be one of those teacher types who have daleks in their classrooms, and not to mention the three TARDIS. Also, have a ton of DVD's from the UK and had to buy special DVD players for them. I mean someone I work with might go by my facebook page and turn me into the FAN POLICE for being a Whovian.

Actually, I have a feeling my child turned me in a long time ago, before *gasp* new Who. So I am on the database!

Tell this to the OP of secret 2. Imagine their terror, in case they don't know about the dread Tolkien Fandom Police.

That's why you hide things under your bed or a shoebox in the closet. But really, out of all the guilty pleasures in the world -- Doctor Who is pretty tame.

I got bullied at school for saying I liked DW? But that was the 80s, I was a child, and really, there's no need to feel weird about liking DW now. It's even kind of cool, really.

Ehm, it's in your head.

In my experience people are either excited you're taking an interest, or have no clue what Doctor Who is.

Unless you're in the UK, where everyone will know it, but then, no one will look down on you because most people have at least some good memories associated with it (watched Christmas special with family, watched classic who when little etc.)

I'm guessing by the way you circled "guilty" that this means you torrent the series or something and thus are attached to maintaining your copyright-defying practices?

(Not that I particularly care, mind. Just that's the impression I got from the secret and I'd like to know if I'm right!)
