(Spoilers like woah, obviously.)

Dick Roman is history. Big Bads for season 8: a progressively-meaner Crowley and a mad scientist type angel lady (Naomi.) The likely Big Bads for Season 8 look to be a pretty kickass demoness and Knight of Hell named Abaddon and a sneaky little angel shit named Metatron. There's a new Prophet, a young man called Kevin Tran, and Felicia Day's character Charlie has now been in three episodes (and she's still alive!)

Also the boys have a home of their own now; having discovered that their grandfather Henry was part of a Watchers-type secret society that was wiped out years ago, they found and commandeered the group's underground headquarters. It's a pretty cool set!

Current fad in fandom, or at least my corner thereof, is speculating about what'll happen with the fallen angels, as there's a whole crapload of them going into S9, and Cas specifically, as he'll be starting the season human. And also what will be up with Crowley, who ended last season partially "cured" of being a demon.

While I don't think there are any fresh "leaked script" rumors, the S8 subtext was fairly pronounced, so of course the Destiel shippers are all over it as usual.
