THIS.

I write RPS. I love RPS. I write my RPS characterization based on the interviews my favorite singers gave when they were actually giving interviews.

My main fandom was popslash. Where the guys HAD to act a certain way because that's how they were marketed. So no, I'm pretty sure that Justin wasn't a devoted boyfriend to Britney Spears and a virgin until they broke up, JC isn't a total space case that lives in his own world, Joey didn't slept with anything that had two legs, Lance was never planning world domination and Chris wasn't a 10 year old in a 30 year old body.

I couldn't care less how they are in real life. I ship the image they present, that it's as much of a fake character as any role they might play on the screen.
