Huh. I never even noticed that.

...Anyway I think there's a huge difference between 14 and 12 as far as how creepy it is to sexualize cartoons of them? It may be only two years but your brain changes a LOT in those two years. Of course it's still creepy, just... considerably less so, IMO.

Yeah, I mean... Sailor Moon was 14 in the start of her series too, as were the other Inner Senshi.

But judging by what everyone else has said, it's a very brief sight gag?

(I do hate when relatively clean shows have creepy fanservice-y merchandise, though.)

And one of the big points of the series was that girls contracted to be magical girls had to be in adolescence. The emotional upheaval of that age was a huge requirement.

Not all girls are quite at that stage yet when they're 12.
