What Are Your Happy Fan Stuff?

We got our drain fixed and our basement unflooded! So we are celebrating with pizza tonight. Mmm pizza.

And we are going to watch Lion King, my favorite happy movie, because I cleaned the basement for an hour with bleach, rain boots, a hose, and a broom.

So I want to hear what makes you happy! Movies, books, games, tv shows, foods, whatever.

Music, especially music remixes. Sometimes when I feel sad they would cheer me up and whenever I feel tooexcited (I have a lifelong problem with this) they would calm me down.

I think it's a good thing I'm replying from an IPhone at the moment because otherwise I would have listed all my favorite music remixes here and the eventual result would take up the entire comment section.

EDIT: and my artworks too! I have a fondness for doodling and sometimes whenever I get bored I would doodle my favorite characters from different series together. I've even framed a few of them in my room! (thank you mom and dad for being ignorant about male relationships). XD

And do you have any of your art work to share? If not cool, I know some artists are nervous about sharing their work. :) I actually have some artwork my friend drew me framed.

Homemade chicken and dumplings
Listening to my cat talk, or sing, or whatever it is he does. No matter what time it is even if it wakes me up I just smile, because I think of his as the Brian Blessed of cats.
Playing Okami, Kingdom Hearts, nearly any Final Fantasy, Flower, Journey, and Mahjong on the computer.
Reading Discworld, or Gunnerkrigg Court
Watching pretty much any Disney movie, but particularly the Emperors New Groove, Lilo & Sitch, and Mulan. I also love Twice Upon a Time(the animated Lucasfilms one)

Disney is the best. I remember seeing Pocahontas when it came out in theaters. I guess I barely blinked the entire time because when we left my eyes hurt. I must have looked like this. O.O

Curbstomping some bots in League of Legends, 'cause sometimes one's just gotta rack up a ludicrous killscore without much challenge.

Also rewatching a few particular high-stakes battles in Slayers, 'cause nothing makes for better cheering up in my book that watching Lina Inverse sass something that outclasses her on multiple levels, and then kick its ass.

I had to take one for the team. So I cleaned the sewer water up. So. much. disgusting. stuff.

But watching Simba ascend to his place as King of Pride Rock, made it all good in the end.

That's awesome news! I'm glad it got fixed and you didn't have to wait all week. :P

As for what make me happy: Silly video games like Saints Row the Third and anything multiplayer with friends. Non-video games would have to be Cards Against Humanity, I finally played it last month and it was ridiculous. :D
Music: Anything that's not outright depressing that I can actually tolerate (so not most Top 40).
Food: Chocolate usually - although I guess 'happy' stuff would be, like a frappuccino. At least I associate it with happy. ...Goddamnit I want one now. XD

- Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Rune Factory, Mario games
- Hugging my cat or dog
- Mac and Cheese
- Fanfic
- Catching up on books in my shelves or on my kobo

I love the Lion King yet it is one of my least re-watched Disney film, Mufasa's death is still D: to watch for me(silly but there you go).

For me:
- Original A-Team series.
- Any of the current MCU movies.
- LoTR and the Hobbit, both books and films.
- Disney movies.
- Organising and cleaning out my room(I think because it makes me feel productive and useful).
- Re-reading Terry Pratchett's Thief of Time.
- Playing Nintendogs.

And yay for your basement being clean even if you did have to do it yourself, go you!

Also, I like your style! Pizza and the Lion King? Literally two of my favorite things. (Unsmelly houses rock too. Sounds like a great evening!)

The list of things that make me happy is too damn long. There are lots. Being around loved ones (especially having fun/talking/laughing), being around animals, being warm, being outside when it is warm and pretty, and a whole fuckton of games and foods and drinks. A good summer night for me is coming home from work and changing out of my nasty clothes, then having a wheat ale or a ginger martini and sitting in the warm sunroom playing a game on the comp with my feet up and a yummy snack and good music if the game doesn't have music and my dogs laying nearby. <3

Happy fanstuffs:

1) Anything Ghostbusters-related. I try to pull out the original film only for extra-special happy-making power, so usually this is making fun of the second film while admiring how good everyone looks or a couple of episodes of the animated series. I need to go back to working on my costume, but that requires that I face the sewing machine again, and it scares me.

2) Waffles and summer berries. I make a mean waffle, and right now there's plenty of fresh strawberries and blueberries and raspberries to sprinkle a little turbinado sugar into and pour over the waffles with whipped cream on top. I have had this for dinner far too many times this month.

3) Playing Monkees songs really loudly and singing along with the harmony vocals instead of the lead vocals. I dunno, man, it's fun.

Movies: Rock of Ages (a serious guilty pleasure), All Dogs Go To Heaven, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, The Lion King, Black Beauty, Nine to Five, Star Wars and Ghostbusters.

TV: Star Trek (any series except Enterprise), Azumanga Daioh, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Scrubs, Adventure Time, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Shark, The Tenth Kingdom and Mystery Science Theater 3000, Chi's Sweet Home/New Address.

Games: Pokemon, Final Fantasy XII, Oblivion, Skyrim, Harvest Moon, Kingdom Hearts, Katamari, Ni No Kuni, almost any Lego game, any Mario game (especially Mario Kart), Sly Cooper 2 and 4, and Ace Attorneys 1-3.

Books: Night Watch, Thud, Witches Abroad, Hogfather, Small Gods, the Harry Potter series, the Agatha H. series (anyone know when the third one is coming out?), the Jig the Goblin trilogy, Redshirts and basically any horse novels categorized young adult. Nostalgia, you see.

Comics/Webcomics/Manga: Sailormoon, Utena, Ace Attorney, Deadpool, Girl Genius, Calvin and Hobbes, Shortpacked! and Brawl in the Family.

Other: Cuddling and playing with my dogs, when my cat randomly jumps into my lap and begins purring to beat the band, baking chocolaty stuff for my friends and family, being with my horse (even if I'm generally too sick/injured to do more than give him a quick grooming these daysk and reading old fanfic with full awareness that it probably won't be as good as you remember it, and then being pleasantly surprised.

Long list, I know, but eh, when you're perpetually ill and stuck at home being depressed, you take what comfort you can get.
