Doctor, because the majority of people I know who have said this don't have the drive or the grades but still insist they're going to do the MCAT and apply and everything, and I just keep thinking "you're going to waste so much money and time on this..." One of my friends actually does have the grades, and she has the ambition and work ethic necessary, but she got rejected on her first round of applications and decided to go for nursing instead.

I figure, at least if that's your interest, even if you don't make it into med school you can get good money in some other medical career - nurse, dentist, physician's assistant, public health administration. So that one doesn't make me wince, even when I don't think someone's going to make it.

You can also reapply to med school. One of my best friends is doing this. She's very focused and intelligent and I know she'll be able to make it as a doctor, so I hope she gets in the next time around.

I dunno, I think film school is a bit more realistic for most people, lol. I mean being an actor? Not super realistic, but film is a whole industry, not one job. I'd do anything in the film industry given the chance. Once I'm done my useless undergrad in English I'm going to pester film people to let me be an intern so that I can somehow get a job at some point and just yay.

Do :) I've heard of some internships that really paid of!

I hope so! Are you working in the film industry or something else altogether?

I'm actually currently unemployed, so no heh. I briefly worked for TV and as a journalist.
