Re: Any creepy admirers, FS?

Yes. He started off as a friend then started to verge towards creepy. He had muses and nymphs he wrote operas and poems to, gave chocolate to his Muse for Valentine's day and regularly gave poems to another (who had a boyfriend). He left me a message on voicemail that was over five minutes long and later when I confronted him and told him I wasn't interested in dating him he told me no. He flat-out refused to allow me not to date him, because I was nice to him at first and that meant I should hear him out and that I would want to date him. This continued for several weeks, he tried to convince my friends to intercede in his favour, kept looking at me and staring really intently from afar, later on said (as I was told) that I should have dated him to respect his feelings. We were in the same class so it was hard to avoid him... He kept trying to get close to me and was really close whenever he talked to me. After a while he understood that I would not change my mind and that's when he started to get angry. I'm pretty sure he called me every name that exists behind my back. He was seated next to me in class and he wrote things in the margins of his notes in another language (I couldn't understand it, no one could in my class). Given how angry his writing looked, I have few doubts about what it said... He would stay alone far in the back of the classroom and just stare with both his closed fists resting on the table. Once, we had a snack to celebrate the end of the school year, we were all huddled around the teacher's desk and front row, he grabbed some cake and spent the entire hour by himself, angry and silent.

Luckily, it was near the end of the school year. The following year, he took to walking past me really quickly whenever he saw me, and the year after that, he told me he was now being treated by a psychiatrist. I wasn't surprised (bear in mind that I'm giving you a light version) but I was glad he was getting the help he needed. We made peace.

Holy shit, that's basically the Nice Guy from hell.

I'm really glad that he got past it and is no longer treating you like that. I'm also glad he's getting the help he needs. Hopefully he doesn't do it to anyone else.

That's really creepy. It reminds me of this guy who was obsessed with a girl in my sixth grade class. He would stalk her and buy her gifts, jewelry and candies, and whatnot. I felt pretty bad for her.
