Oh! Check out Lake Woebegon! It's basically set up with this guy talking about the going ons in his 'home town' [which is the fictional Lake Woebegon, Mich.] and, while the stories aren't drawn out over multiple shows, it's pretty entertaining.

ffs above anon, Lake Wobegon is not a podcast. It's a feature on Prairie Home Companion, which is a long-running radio comedy variety show on NPR, and a fictionalized Minnesotan town in the writings of Garrison Keillor (who hosts the show).

That might help you find it easier.

SORRY I'M JUST REALLY IRRATIONALLY ANGRY I grew up listening to this and anon could easily have gotten it right but noooope

by the way-- phc isn't just about wobegon. there's other features, including Guy Noir, about a private eye; "The Lives of the Cowboys," about two cowboys named Dusty and Lefty; unrelated skits and radio drama about current events; and musical features, usually folk, bluegrass, or gospel

Above anon and rolling my eyes at you. I'm well aware of what it is - but the thing is you actually *can* get the segments separate from the rest of phc, which is why I recced it.
