Re: Any creepy admirers, FS?
The most recent one was a 30-year-old guy who started hitting on me when I was barely 18 and asked me out like 20 times... he seemed to think that "No, I don't like you that way" meant "I want to get to know you better." Whenever I said anything like "Look, I said no, you can't force me to change my mind by asking me over and over" he laughed condescendingly and said "Haha, American women always say that."
Silly American women, thinking they have the right to say "no" to a man and everything... I was kind of scared of him after that but I felt like I had to be nice to him anyway because we had class together, worked together, and lived in the same dorm and I saw him everywhere. Thankfully he graduated and went back to his home country...

I do know that some men from other places have a weird "lol American women" attitude about women who are self-responsible, independent, and believe in their own agency and autonomy - like that's a bad or weird thing. Like they're just used to women being responsive only to what men want and not being willing to disagree with them. it makes me cringe
