I was quite surprised by this secret. I want to actually find out more about why this person hates Hermione.

OP, remember that Hermione is not Umbridge. They have similarities, but even more important is their differences. I am one of those so-called rabid Hermione fans (my initial reaction right now isn't rabid at all, just curious; that could just be me, though), and I do look up to her.

I like her confidence to be herself. I love her intelligence, her independence, her wisdom and her sense of rightness over everything. If you'll remember, she was fighting against Umbridge. Hell, she's the one who came up with Dumbledore's Army.

So, why? What is there to hate?
