I have a Kindle Fire. I used it for fanfic and internet browsing. It was great for a while since I could use it instead of my laptop, but since I got an iphone that's replaced my kindle and I haven't used it for a while. The only thing the Kindle has over the iphone is a bigger size and nice reading function, and an iphone can do both of that just fine and even more.
It also seemed like the battery ran out kind of quickly, but perhaps when I'm on a long road trip (like I will be soon) I'll be able to see how long it lasts w/o wifi use.

I use my kindle for the same thing!
