Standard current-generation Kindle. Bad for surfing, great for general reading, awkward for searching, navigation, or highlighting. Works best if you send via Amazon's Web interface or load stuff on via Calibre. About half of my books are from Amazon. Some are from Project Gutenberg, a few are from independents like Baen and Weightless Books (sometimes cheaper, often DRM free.) Phoenix Pick has a monthly ebook giveaway, and SF Signal usually has a daily post for free or discounted science fiction ebooks. I need to get back into the habit of checking if an ebook is available direct from the publisher.

Oh other limitations:

* PDF generally is bad.
* texts with a large number of images, poetic line breaks, or monospace text passages (such as technical documentation) are generally bad.

On the other hand, it's nice to have really beefy 19th century texts in a more portable format.
