I got a book! It's a collection of the newspaper columns of Flann O'Brien (published under the name Miles na gCopaleen), and I got it used for a couple bucks and it's really good. It is amazingly funny and imaginative and enjoyable.

Also, I got it kind of unexpectedly - I happened to be walking by the Irish cultural center around here, and saw that they had a little book cart, so I went over to investigate it. Not only did they have the book cart with the book on it, but apparently they have a whole library in there which I never knew anything about - a very pleasant, nice room full of old books, with a librarian and everything, who seemed like a lovely lady and I had a very nice chat with her.

So I was happy to get the book and it was a very pleasant discovery.
