And I'd suggest being careful with original characters from people you find on lj for 1x1 stuff. In my experience they're usually wanting someone to play their favorite character to hook their [usually Mary-sue-ish] OC up with and that, at least imo, usually doesn't end up being too much fun. With places that do apps, it usually isn't a problem since the mods look it over to make sure the character is well rounded.
